English
This Privacy Policy applies to DocuScan (the “App”). Scanning and PDF generation are primarily performed on-device. When you export/share, the file is handed to the destination app you choose via the iOS share sheet.
1. Information We Collect
- Document images: When you scan, the system camera captures document images. The App converts them into PDFs on your device.
- Subscription / purchase data: To provide subscriptions, the App integrates third-party services (see Section 3) that may collect information needed for purchase validation (such as device identifiers, IP address, diagnostics).
2. How We Use Information
- Provide core features: scan, preview, generate PDF, export/share.
- Provide Pro subscription features (e.g., watermark removal).
- Improve stability (if diagnostics services are enabled).
3. Third-Party Services
- Apple (App Store) for payments and subscriptions.
- RevenueCat for subscription status and receipt validation (integrated in the code).
Note: The project includes Firebase/Analytics dependency, but
the current code does not initialize or call it. If analytics is enabled in
the future, we will update this policy accordingly.
4. Export/Sharing & Optional Network Features
- Share sheet: When you export/share a PDF, iOS passes the file to the destination app you choose.
- Optional fax feature (if enabled): The codebase contains an example integration with a third-party fax API (Phaxio). If enabled, PDFs will be transmitted to that provider to deliver faxes.
5. Storage & Retention
- Scanning and PDF generation are primarily performed on your device.
- A temporary PDF file may be created in the iOS temporary directory for sharing; iOS may clear temporary files according to system behavior.
6. Your Choices
- You can revoke camera permission in iOS Settings.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in the App Store.
